The research group Ecological-Economic Policy Modelling has a general focus on integrating both the economic and ecological interactions and relationships within the methods of policy simulation and evaluation. Using these methods, the group addresses research questions in the context of transformation towards a sustainable agri-food system. This includes particularly question related to agricultural policy, biodiversity conservation and technology adoption (e.g., agri-photovoltaics). The research group uses methods on different spatial and sectoral scales using simulation models including partial- and general equilibrium models as well as investment and land-use models.
