HOPE: Hohenheim Model Framework for Ecological-Economic Policy Evaluation
The project develops a spatially high-resolution and sectorally detailed ecological-economic modelling framework for the German agri-food system. Its aim is to analyze biodiversity loss in agricultural landscapes and to assess the effectiveness of policy measures while explicitly accounting for supply and demand for organic and conventional food. To this end, ecological, land-use, and computable general equilibrium models are further developed and integrated in a data- and computation-intensive research approach.
