What would we be without pollinators? – Discussion at WISSENSWERTE [13.10.25]
Since its debut in 2004, the dialogue forum WISSENSWERTE has developed into the most important science journalism event in the German-speaking world.
Prof. Dr. Arndt Feuerbacher gave an impulse lecture on the economic valuation of pollination services. In the subsequent panel discussion, moderated by Iris Proff and featuring Demetra Rakosy (Thünen Institute), Teja Tscharntke (University of Göttingen), and Joachim Budde (freelance journalist), the participants discussed the decline in biodiversity and the importance of pollinators for food security. They also explored how science journalism can raise greater public awareness of these issues.
